BurgherGray seeking a Paralegal/Administrative Assistant
BurgherGray is seeking a Paralegal/Administrative Assistant with at least three years of law firm experience; strong written and oral communication skills; expertise in the Microsoft Office suite of programs; strong organizational and time management skills; the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment; the ability to juggle several tasks and meet deadlines.
Duties include
- Conduct legal research
- Assist attorneys with drafting and editing legal documents
- Prepare and file documents with courts
- Summarize cases and prepare reports for attorneys
- Create and maintain job tracking reports
- Answer phones and greet guests
- Organize and schedule appointments and manage attorneys’ calendars
- Assist with client/matter intake
- Prepare client invoices
- Enter and correct attorneys’ time
- Perform data entry and maintain records
- Handle travel arrangements for attorneys and other staff
- Write and distribute email, letters, faxes and forms
- Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Develop and maintain a filing system
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Manage office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
- Maintain contact lists
- Book travel arrangements
- Greet guests and provide general support to visitors
- Liaise with executives and senior administrators to handle requests and queries from associates and partners
