I’m excited to share that this year, BurgherGray celebrates its 20th anniversary. What started in 2006 as a small group of attorneys with a vision for practicing law differently, without giving up the sophistication and complexity of the clientele and work we’d grown accustomed to in BigLaw, has become something we’re deeply proud of. We set out to prove three things: that you could deliver BigLaw sophistication with a small-firm touch, that diverse-owned firms could compete at the highest levels of the craft on complex and interesting matters, and that you could build a successful practice by putting people first without sacrificing what makes the work meaningful.
Twenty years later, we’re still here. We’ve accomplished much of what we set out to do, but there is still more work ahead. We’re still growing and still committed to our vision, albeit a somewhat evolved version of it.
Over the coming months, as part of our ongoing celebration, we’ll share the story of how we got here: the early bets, the clients who believed in us, the people who built this firm and have called it home, and the values that have guided us along the way.
