COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ATTORNEY

Job Posting:

BurgherGray is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney with three to five years of experience to work on various complex litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex commercial disputes including foreclosure matters, excellent advocacy and writing skills, and a results-driven mindset. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex litigation matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Active membership to the New York Bar in good standing is required. Active membership to the Florida Bar is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Develop case strategies and advise clients on litigation risks and opportunities.
  • Take and defend depositions, appear in court for hearings and trials, and participate in arbitration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations affecting commercial litigation.

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York Bar membership. Florida bar membership a plus.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience, including substantive foreclosure experience
  • 3+ years of litigation experience.
  • Ability to manage litigation cases from inception to resolution.
  • Experience with e-discovery review platforms and litigation protocols concerning ESI.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to collaborative case strategies.
  • Ability to interact independently with clients and adversaries.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent courtroom advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong client service orientation and business acumen.

Salary between $140,000 and $170,000 commensurate with experience.

Associate – Capital Markets & Finance Group

Position Overview

York City. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of continuous law firm experience in two or
more of the following areas: structured finance and securitization, public finance, commercial
lending, fund finance, or M&A and joint ventures.

In addition to supporting the Capital Markets and Finance Group, the ideal candidate will
provide assistance to the firm's Public Finance Group.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate complex finance and transaction documents. Advise clients on
financing transactions, managing matters from term sheet to closing. Structure and document
joint ventures and investment transactions. Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to
deliver client-focused solutions. Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

3–5 years of continuous law firm experience at a well-regarded firm in two or more of the
practice areas listed above. Licensed to practice in New York State. Strong commitment to
developing your craft as an excellent, client-focused lawyer. Exceptional drafting, negotiation,
and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary between $165,000 and $185,000, commensurate with experience. Medical, dental, and

Senior Associate / Of Counsel – Capital Markets & Finance Group

provide assistance to the firm’s Public Finance Group.

5+ years of continuous law firm experience at a top-tier firm in two or more of the practice areas
listed above. Licensed to practice in New York State. Strong commitment to developing your
craft as an excellent, client-focused lawyer. Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical
skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary between $190,000 and $225,000, commensurate with experience. Medical, dental, and
