Trina L. Glass

Senior Counsel | NEW JERSEY

Trina L. Glass is a Senior Counsel at BurgherGray in the Investment Management Practice Group, where she provides sophisticated legal counsel to investment advisers, broker-dealers, and investment funds with combined assets. Drawing on nearly two decades of securities industry experience, Trina brings a regulator’s perspective and deep industry knowledge to her practice. She focuses on regulatory compliance matters related to the Investment Advisers Act, Investment Company Act, Securities Act, and Securities Exchange Act, with expertise in privacy and cybersecurity obligations.

Trina regularly represents clients in SEC enforcement investigations and examinations, including matters related to best interest analysis, cybersecurity, Marketing Rule compliance, Regulation BI implementation, custody rule issues, and off-channel communications. Her experience extends to guiding private fund advisers and registered investment advisers through complex regulatory matters involving fee disclosures, expense allocations, preferential treatment concerns, and material non-public information protocols.

Prior to joining BurgherGray, she served as Special Counsel at Duane Morris LLP and as a Shareholder at Stark & Stark, where she co-chaired the Diversity and Inclusion Committee while maintaining a robust investment management practice. Her experience also includes roles at Axiom Law and Winston & Strawn LLP. She also served as Vice President of Regulatory Analysis and Procedures Management at BNY Pershing where she implemented supervisory structures and managed regulatory compliance initiatives across multiple business units. Trina also brings valuable regulatory insight from her time at FINRA’s New Jersey District and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Bureau of Securities.

Trina earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School with a concentration in Business Law, where she served as a Legal Research & Writing Teaching Associate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from North Carolina Central University, graduating cum laude. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
