Mark M. Lee

Mark M. Lee is Of Counsel at BurgherGray. He brings extensive experience as a trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor. His practice focuses on defending corporations and executives against federal government investigations and prosecutions, conducting internal investigations, and providing corporate compliance counseling.

Throughout his career, Mark has successfully represented clients in a variety of high-stakes matters, including defending a U.S. congressman facing multiple federal criminal charges and representing pharmaceutical companies in Department of Justice and State Attorneys General antitrust investigations. He has also conducted internal investigations for healthcare organizations, political action committees, and nonprofit entities, as well as due diligence reviews for multinational investments.

As a former Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Delaware, Mark led numerous federal grand jury investigations and prosecutions involving financial institution fraud, theft of government funds, identity theft, corporate tax evasion, public corruption, and money laundering. His experience extends to investigations involving various technologies, including peer-to-peer software applications, social networking websites, and wireless and mobile networks. Mark works closely with businesses to strengthen ethics and compliance programs across industries including financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and software. He advises on cyber security and data privacy issues, including policy assessments, data breach preparation, and breach response strategies.

A skilled trial lawyer, Mark has tried cases to verdict before juries in both the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Mark earned his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
